Family Caregiver Support Program

The Family Caregiver Support Program works to ensure that family caregivers and older adults raising relative’s children (grandparents) have the support and assistance needed as they continue to provide care to their care receivers.  The program is designed to help reduce the stress of caregivers and grandparents in order for them to continue to provide quality of care in the home.

Giving Caregivers Choices

Family Caregiver Support Program

The Family Caregiver Support Program is flexible. We believe that caregivers know what they need. The program allows you to choose the help you want.
We also know that caring for a dependent person can be overwhelming. If you want us to help you make choices, we can do that too. You are in charge. There is a limit on financial assistance one can receive in a year; however if you qualify for financial assistance, you decide when and how to use it with very few guidelines.

The Family Caregiver Support Program Helps the Following Caregivers

  • Family Caregivers responsible for individuals age 60 and older who are unable to perform at least two activities of daily living on their own.
  • Family Caregivers responsible for the care of individuals of any age with Alzheimer’s disease or a related disorder.
  • Grandparents or relative caregivers (age 55 and older) raising a child related through blood, marriage or adoption.
  • Grandparents or relative caregivers (age 55 and older) of adult children (between age 19 and 59) with a disability.
