Your “One Stop Shop” for information and assistance to help you navigate the maze of services. The Appalachian ADRC (Aging & Disability Resource Center) is a resource for older adults, caregivers, adults with disabilities and professionals. It is our goal to provide:
- Information on the full range of long-term care options to consumers.
- Consumer friendly and personalized assistance to help individuals make informed decisions about their support options.
- Education on long term care needs
- Assistance to Medicare beneficiaries to understand and access prescription drug coverage as well as prevention health benefits.
The ADRC is not a new place or a new agency. It is a part of the Appalachian Council of Governments’ Area Agency on Aging. The ADRC is a new way of providing information and assistance and helping individuals access services. We have strived to increase our accessibility to consumers and caregivers beyond calling our office to having a mobile unit to serve the six counties of the Appalachian region (Anderson, Oconee, Greenville, Spartanburg, Pickens and Cherokee) to now adding a virtual ADRC at www.scupstateadrc.org.
